BDS Admissions Guide – Federal Dental College Islamabad
Federal dental College is a part of Federal Medical and Dental College and also named as Institute of Dentistry Islamabad or School of Dentistry Islamabad. Federal dental College is Constituent institute of Shaheed zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University SZABMU Islamabad. This College offers BDS , Dental Surgery and Approved from PMDC.
School of Dentistry, Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University, Islamabad, is the first public sector dental college established in the capital city of Pakistan and SOD is a constitute school of teaching training facility. The Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University (SZABMU), a public sector federal university, was established in the premises of Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences, Islamabad; by an Ordinance of the National Assembly on 21st March, 2013.
School of Dentistry is the state of art Dental school and Hospital highly conducive to learning established in the heart of the capital as a constituent college of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto Medical University. It is affiliated with Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences Islamabad. It was initiated in 2016 and completed in record time of four years.

Eligibility Criteria for BDS Admissions
In accordance with “PMDC Medical and Dental Undergraduate Education (Admissions, Curriculum and Conduct) Regulations”, the basic eligibility criteria for admissions are as follows
- The applicant has scored minimum Fifty Percent (50%) marks in the MDCAT examination conducted by the PMDC.
- obtained a Higher Secondary School Certificate qualification (“HSSC”) or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan and having obtained more than Sixty Five Percent (65%) marks therein, or a higher percentage as may be notified by the Medical and Dental Council; and
- passed the subjects of biology and chemistry and either physics or mathematics in the examination of the Higher Secondary School Certificate or an equivalent 12th grade qualification recognized in Pakistan
No candidate shall be considered eligible on merit if the candidate has not acquired a
1. Minimum 65% marks, in HSSC or F.Sc (Pre-medical) or equivalent examination having minimum twelve years of education, and
2. Minimum 50% marks in the MDCAT examination conducted by the Pakistan Medical and Dental Council.

Seat Allocation for School of Dentistry, Islamabad
The candidates desirous for admission against quota needs to submit a document issued by concerned authority certifying that applicant is eligible against the quota i.e. domicile certificate, Federal Government Employees Certificate, disability certificate.
The candidates applying on the basis of domiciles will have to provide, in addition to domicile certificate, proof of residence/property/education or any tangible evidence of stay in region of domicile.

Admission Process for Federal Dental College, Islamabad
First of all , Students Must appear in MDCAT exam of their own Province. After announcement of MDCAT Result by Pakistan Medical and Dental Council , SZABMU will issue the advertisement for BDS Admissions in Federal Institute of Dentistry Islamabad
Students will have to apply online on the website of SZABMU for admission into Federal dental College Islamabad. Upon Final Selection , SZABMU will display the Merit Lists on Its website, Selected Candidates will have to submit Fee and Documents at school of dentistry Islamabad with in the given Time. Upon failure of submission of fee , student’s admission will be considered cancelled and new student from the waiting list will be called for admissions at federal institute of dentistry Islamabad.

2. College administration can changes fee structure without prior notification.
3. TOTAL AMOUNT PAYABLE AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION in School of Dentistry Islamabad Is:
GIRLS 72000/= with hostel or 36000/= without hostel.
BOYS 44000/= with hostel or 36000/= without hostel.
This is because Exam fee is paid at the time annual examination and university and PMDC registration fees are paid usually after 3_4 months of commencement of classes.

Most of the chances is here , he will select KEMU , so Here in Federal medical College , seat will remain vacant and new merit list will be issued with slightly Low merit.
